    Job Title: Quantity Surveyors - Construction Contractor

    We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Limerick.

    Office/Project Location: Limerick, Dublin and Galway

    Employment Type: Permanent

    Work Location: Office / Site

    Experience: 2+ years

    Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

    A leading Irish building contractor is working on various projects across healthcare, education, industry, construction, and leisure industries.

    The successful candidate will work on projects in Dublin, Limerick & Galway, dealing with challenging tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provide regular commercial reports to the Commercial Manager.
    2. Offer advice on contractual matters – general and project level.
    3. Identify potential contract disputes.
    4. Support the appointment of project staff (commercial) and provide QS expertise.
    5. Finding opportunities to increase revenue and minimize costs.
    6. Assist with cash management for projects.
    7. Offer support and advice on project correspondence.
    8. Negotiate subcontract agreements with suppliers.
    9. Closing final accounts in a timely manner.
    10. Investigate losses and identify areas for improvement.
    11. Drafting commercial/contractual correspondence on time.
    12. Negotiating prices and terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
    13. Preparing subcontract and suppliers documents.
    14. Reviewing and preparing monthly cost reports.
    15. Reviewing risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets monthly.
    16. Negotiating final accounts with subcontractors and suppliers.

    Requirements:

    1. Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
    2. At least 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction projects.
    3. Ability to work on large-scale construction sites and have experience with subcontractors.
    4. Liaising with internal stakeholders, including the Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager, while on site and attending meetings.
    5. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
    6. Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site.
    7. Time management skills to maximize efficiency and meet challenging goals.
    8. Fluent English and eligibility to work in Ireland.
