    Grant Thornton's Financial Services Advisory (FSA) Business Risk Services (BRS) team is currently seeking a driven and self-motivated professional person, to join the team in Dublin.

    The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build relationships internally and externally, become involved in a variety of projects covering a broad spectrum of organisations within the Financial Services industry, including but not limited to:

  • Banking;
  • Insurance;
  • Asset Management; and
  • Payment Institutions and E-Money
  • The role will place you at the heart of a high-energy, agile team that is committed to helping clients navigate the ever-changing IT risk landscape. Our key areas of focus include IT general control reviews as part of financial audits, Third Party controls reporting (ISAE3402, SSAE18, SOC2), framework specific controls assurance (SOx, ITIL etc.), ISO270001 audits and regulatory IT reviews.

    You will be given the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues who are available for training and coaching as you get settled into the role.

    Key responsibilities

  • Execution and delivery of testing activities for IT audits or IT engagements in areas such as Logical Access Management, Change Management, IT operations, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Cloud.
  • Project management, meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations while working in a fast paced, regulated environment.
  • Document and prepare high quality working papers and client reports in accordance with audit methodology, relevant legislation, industry guidance and departmental standards.
  • Engage and effectively communicate with client management, up to and including c-suite executives.
  • Skills and Attributes

  • Some previous experience in a professional practice (ideally Big4) or corporate environment in the Financial Services industry.
  • Qualification/pursuing a qualification relevant to IT audit, IT risk management, internal audit or consulting (e.g. e.g. CISA, CRISC, COBIT 2019 Fundamentals, ISO270001 Lead Auditor or Business/Accountancy/Finance/Info. Science qualification).
  • Experience and detailed proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • A strong team player.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Desirable

  • Experience in IT audit and IT controls assurance (SOC Reporting, SOX etc.).
  • Knowledge of auditing financial IT systems across various platforms (e.g. Windows, SQL, Oracle, Linux, SAP).
  • Knowledge and experience of Control Assurance services (ISAE, SSAE, SOC2).
  • Working knowledge of IT regulatory requirements and associated IT risk frameworks such as COBIT, COSO, NIST etc.
