    Occupational Therapists – Clonmel, Tipperary

    Occupational Therapists, Staff grade, Senior grade and Assistants required by Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, for new opportunities in Children's Disability network 5 Team Clonmel, Tipperary

    35 Hours per week

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Working under the direction of the Children's Disability Network Manager and in partnership with occupational therapy colleagues and as a member of the interdisciplinary team, the post holder will: Integrate occupational therapy skills with current occupational therapy theory and relevant supporting evidence based knowledge.
    • Facilitate a family centred approach.
    • Undertake a key contact role for an identified caseload
    • Adhere to the principle of informed consent prior to and throughout interventions.
    • Facilitate the service user to make informed decisions re: occupational therapy interventions.
    • Use skilled observations and interviewing, including in complex situations
    • Select, implement and analyse the outcomes of standardised and non- standardised assessments.
    • Collaborate skilfully with the service user as appropriate and work in partnership with the service users parents/family/carers) to identify goals, including complex situations.
    • Apply clinical reasoning to plan, grade, implement and modify interventions that are outcome based and relevant to the child or young person's goals.
    • Facilitate individual and group interventions in a skilled manner.
    • Evaluate and apply outcomes of intervention in collaboration with all stakeholders.
    • Ensure that Health & Safety policy and procedures are adhered to at all times.
    • Take personal responsibility for own health and safety and report incidents and potential hazards as necessary.
    • Respect the confidentiality of all matters learned in relation to the post, service users, other members of staff and the general public.

    The Candidate:

    • A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist with CORU registration for Senior and Staff Grade
    • Permission to work in Ireland
    • Professional approach to work
    • Flexibility in work practice
