    Scopely is looking for a Game Client Engineer to join our Star Trek Fleet Command team in Ireland. What You Will Do
  • Develop technology for next-gen MMORTS mobile games using Unity (for multiple platforms) aiming to be played by millions of daily players.
  • Working closely with varied stakeholders to deliver efficient and easily usable tech across multiple platforms and projects.
  • You will be working in a versatile role that can vary from network stack optimization to developing tools for Art.
  • Working with the game server core tech team to co-develop super efficient technologies that will be used in multiple games.
  • Be part of a cross disciplinary team that uses a scrum-ish process
  • Test your own code extensively and work closely with QA engineers to resolve bugs and to hit sprint goals with a high product quality.
  • Collaborate with our Platform team ( Login processes, authentication, IAP).
  • Come up with ways to improve the process of sharing technologies, working with other engineers to implement these improvements.
  • Write content pipeline tools and editor extensions, to streamline production
  • Work closely with the Art team to get awesome artwork into the game and use Level Of Detail, to make it run on as many devices as possible
  • Work with games server team (. for persistent game data, error handling, network connections, efficient data transfer & storage)
  • Be part of a cross disciplinary team that uses a scrum-ish process
  • Test your own code extensively and work closely with the QA team to resolve bugs and to hit sprint goals with a high product quality
  • Collaborate with our Platform team ( Login, authentication, creating accounts, getting data for general content etc.
  • Come up with ways to improve process, working with other engineers to implement these improvements
  • What We're Looking For
  • Strong game-dev industry experience in a core technologies team. Triple A console/PC or mobile desirable.
  • Experienced in developing 3D games using Unity (or Unreal) is highly desired but, strong core tech skills and C# (or C++) knowledge can make up for this.
  • Experienced with C# (.Net 3.5/4.0) or C++ skills
  • Understanding of real-time rendering and rendering bottlenecks
  • Understanding how to write low-latency and low-garbage code in C#
  • Enjoy solving complex technical problems in large systems.
