This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Fund Services Business within Securities Services, providing legal guidance and expertise throughout Europe.

• Engage in client negotiations, product development, and complex new business transactionsWhat you'll do:As a Funds Lawyer at JP Morgan, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Fund Services Business within Securities Services. You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, negotiating and drafting transaction documentation, and assessing legal risk. Your role will also involve working closely with the Product team to assess and implement new regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will liaise with external counsel as required and participate in projects that have a legal impact.
• Provide legal guidance and expertise to the Product team throughout Europe
• Negotiate and draft transaction documentation and contracts
• Assess and implement new regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Product team
• Advise on legal risk and review policies and procedures to mitigate such risks
• Liaise with external counsel as required
• Participate in projects and develop operational processes which have a legal impactWhat you bring:The ideal candidate for this Funds Lawyer position at JP Morgan is an Irish qualified lawyer with post qualification experience either in private practice or in-house. You should have a strong background in Investment Funds, including fund formation, management, and wind down.

  Your ability to understand business needs and partner with the Product team to create solutions will be crucial for this role.

  Excellent communication skills are essential along with strong negotiation and drafting skills. The ability to work independently, manage complex projects and multitask successfully in a fast-paced business environment is also required.
• Qualified lawyer with post qualification experience in a commercial law firm or equivalent experience
• Legal qualifications and experience from Ireland, England and Wales or Europe will be considered.
• Strong background in Investment Funds, including fund formation, management, and wind down
• Ability to understand business needs and partner with the Product team to create solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills
