    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Event Services Specialist. This role will be dedicated to a client account, supporting a best-in-class Global Travel and Events organization

    The Event Services Specialist will play a key strategic role on the Global Events & Meeting Services team. In this role you will bring exceptional customer service, communication, marketing, and events/hospitality industry knowledge to work cross functionally, drive results, efficiencies, and elevate the customer experience.

    As an ideal candidate you are proactive and comfortable presenting and communicating with various levels of internal customers/stakeholders in a fast-paced constantly evolving environment. Your consultative and collaborative approach and your ability to build relationships that influence decision-making ensures the internal customer expectations are exceeded and new internal customers are converted into the Global Events and Meeting Services program. .

    Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultative support to event organizers, helping them identify what services would be most advantageous to them
  • Assist event organizers with finding and booking appropriate event spaces
  • Provide strategic consultation and guidance to internal customers (event organizers) to ensure scalable service delivery and excellent customer service
  • Guide and support customers (event organizers) in navigating process, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure complete understanding of the scope of services, role of the central meetings & events team, and align this with customer expectations
  • Proactively respond to and manage issues to ensure quality and timely resolution
  • Incorporate standardized processes and tools to create efficiencies and scalability for the program
  • Support development and delivery of communications, surveys and marketing materials
  • Facilitate outreach, educational, and training activities
    • Maintain database of meeting activity and internal sites to ensure relevant, accurate, and current content
  • Provide continuous recommendations for program improvements
  • Support Global Travel and Events strategy as a part of the central meetings & events team
  • Support leadership in development of marketing and communication plans aligned with Global Travel and Events goals and objectives
  • Additional duties and/or responsibilities as required
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in meeting & events and/or hospitality industry required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service
  • User-experience with common Meeting Management systems and tools
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Highly developed consulting, influencing and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to effectively identify and solve problems
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft office suite Preferred Qualifications
  • Meeting and Event, or Hospitality industry experience desirable
  • Experience working in a strategic meeting management (SMM) or centralized meeting/event program desired
    • Knowledge of Meeting and Event technology tools highly desirable
  • 3 rd-Party vendor/agency experience with direct customer interface valued
  • CMP (certified meeting professional) or other industry certification valued
  • International meeting & event experience valued
  • Job Requirements
