    Description

    Hudson River Trading is seeking a bright and motivated Regulatory Liaison Officer (RLO). The RLO must be knowledgeable of European regulations (such as MiFID and MiFIR IFR/IFD) and associated guidelines, specifically expectations of the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI). This role is suitable for a proactive individual that is not only independent, but a strong team player.

    Responsibilities

    • Review HRTEU policies and procedures across all departments to ensure a consistent voice and a uniform and standard format
    • Work with the Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Trade Operations and HR departments to identify regulatory and statutory gaps in existing policies and procedures
    • Identify any additional documentation required, and work with stakeholders to close identified gaps
    • Coordinate and manage ad hoc regulatory projects such as SREP and RMPs
    • Project Management - ensure that HRTEU is fully prepared to comply with the new requirements that will be imposed on it by new regulations such as DORA, EMIR(recast) and MiCAR
    • Coordinate interdepartmental and inter-entity regulatory engagement
    • Prepare departments and individuals for SREP workshops
    • Educate HRTEU managers and individual contributors on industry and regulatory expectations
    • Stay informed on intelligence regarding developing areas of interest for the CBI and ESMA, as well as international regulatory agendas
    • Consult with all business lines on developing corrective action plans around regulatory objectives and effectively managing regulatory change
    • Advise HRTEU on how current and proposed business activities will be affected by shifts in the regulatory landscape

    Qualifications

    • Educated to degree level
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • 5+ years regulatory compliance experience
    • Familiarity with European regulations and associated regulatory guidelines, specifically CBI expectations
    • Experience in the creation, development, and implementation of policies and procedures for new initiatives
    • Ability to efficiently and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
    • Ability to work independently, with judgment to involve management when required
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
    • Skilled in organization and attentive to detail
    • Comfortable working in a technical environment
