Elite Talent Hub LTD is a specialist in permanent staffing solutions for clients globally.We are currently recruiting for a Senior Physiotherapist to work as a senior member of our clients' interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families within the region, to include assessment and intervention, clinical and performance supervision, and ongoing service delivery in line with Progressing Disabilities Services.
The role is based in Newcastle West, Co Limerick. Management DutiesOrganise and deliver an integrated, effective, and efficient occupational therapy service to children with disabilities/developmental delay.Responsibility for ensuring the delivery of an effective and efficient occupational therapy service through:
Establishment of profession-specific quality standards and participation in setting and monitoring interdisciplinary standards of assessment and intervention.
Regular monitoring and review of service.
Staff DevelopmentTo take a role in policy making and planning within the Children's Disability Network Team.
To advise the Management Group of future service developments and requirements.
To promote Paediatric Physiotherapy working practice.
Assist with recruitment and selection of staff when required by Children's Disability Network Manager (CDNM).Responsible for induction of newly appointed staff.
Supervise basic grade Physiotherapists/Therapy Assistants and assist in the training of students in the principles and practices of Physiotherapy.Assist in the setting up of Case Conferences/Reviews and attend Case Conferences/Reviews and other meetings as required.
Participation in regular team meetings.
Maintain and promote good communication and relationships with all other disciplines in the service, working within the agreed policy and code.
To be responsible for the safety and maintenance of any equipment supplied for Physiotherapy services.Support initiatives within the organisation including grants and fundraising.
Any other duties which may be assigned by the CDNM.Clinical DutiesParticipation in interdisciplinary assessment, diagnosis, care planning, and service delivery to children and families attending the service.
Assist in the setting up of interdisciplinary assessments, reviews, and other meetings as required.Assist in research studies and projects relating to services as required.
Act in a consultative capacity to other Physiotherapists in the service who are providing direct services to children.
Manage the Physiotherapy caseload of this client group including assessment provision and intervention.
Work in partnership with parents/caregivers, preschool staff, teachers, assistants, and other personnel throughout all stages of service delivery ensuring adequate support for the facilitation of service delivery and the implementation of Occupational Therapy programmes for clients as required, including complex situations within the Family Centres Practice model (FCP).Assist in the setting and monitoring of clinical standards, evaluation of practice, quality control, clinical audit, research, and development as appropriate.
Maintain and update professional knowledge and skills in Paediatric Physiotherapy and be aware of current research and the implications of this for the service through self-education, training, and professional development.
In addition to clinical responsibility, you will be expected to develop further areas of clinical expertise as the service demands, in line with the organisation's commitment to continuous quality improvement.
To engage in joint work with other members of the Team, Health and Social Services, and Education.This will include e.g., parent and staff training, working with educators, therapy groups, and participation in interdisciplinary programme planning, service delivery, and evaluation as required.
Maintenance of service policies and procedures.Compile and analyse KPI's and statistics/activity returns as required.
Maintain correct, up-to-date, legally viable records in relation to clients and other matters as required.
Minimum RequirementsDegree or equivalent qualification which has been validated by Department of Health & Children.
At least three years satisfactory post-qualification experience with disabilities.
Registered with CORU.Clean driving licence and use of a car.
EssentialPossess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Ability to liaise with other health professionals from different services.
Display high competency in report writing.
Experience of programme development, implementation, and evaluation.
IT Literate.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of the role of the Physiotherapist in the field of disability (0 – 18 years).Demonstrate effective professional and ethical standards of practice in line with CORU.DesirableExperience completing Team Assessments/Assessments of Need.
Experience in the delivery of Bobath, Hydrotherapy techniques, etc.Experience in the delivery of group training and workshops.
Manual Handling Instructor training.
Remuneration€58,599 – €68,998 DOE.Company Pension.
