- Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program aligned with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations.
- Stay abreast of local, state, and federal safety regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance.
- Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Identify potential safety hazards in the workplace and conduct risk assessments
- Work with relevant departments to develop and implement strategies for mitigating identified risks.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and trained on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Analyze root causes and recommend preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular drills to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
- Facilitate open communication channels regarding safety concerns between management and employees.
- Develop and distribute safety-related communications and materials.
- Implement a continuous improvement mindset within the safety program.
- Regularly review and update safety policies and procedures based on emerging trends and incidents. You will have
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- NEBSOH Construction Certificate or equivalent
- Proven experience in safety management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience conducting safety training sessions.
- Familiarity with behavior-based safety programs.
