    Description

    The Role

    The EMEA Senior Financial Accountant will be a key member of the EMEA finance team, reporting to the EMEA Financial Reporting Manager. The role requires a highly skilled accounting professional to drive the statutory accounting, taxation, and legal compliance processes for our EMEA entities.
    This role will be required to take the lead on new financial reporting requirements and be a point of contact for key Corporate stakeholder teams (Tax, Legal, and Treasury).
    An element of the role will also involve ad hoc operational support for the wider EMEA Accounting team.

    What You'll Do

  • Lead the statutory accounts preparation and audit process for specific EMEA entities, including:
  • Prepare and analyze local financial statements, including a review of intercompany balances, fluctuation analysis, and adequacy of capital structure
  • Draft financial footnotes and confirm the appropriateness of representation letter assertions
  • Co-ordinate and lead interactions with external tax and accounting authorities as required for financial filings
  • Serves as local technical accounting support to the Corporate Accounting team
  • Project management for key EMEA projects
  • Ensure 3rd parties are accountable for timely and accurate work with a focus on reduction in overall fees paid
  • Requirements

  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • 7+ years post post-qualification experience
  • Demonstrable expertise in leading Statutory Financial Accounts/Audits across several EMEA countries
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in dealing with external auditors and Tax authorities across the EMEA region
  • US GAAP, FRS 102, and fundamentals of corporate taxation experience essential
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; strong multi-tasking skills and flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline an advantage
  • Public Accounting background (Top 10 Audit Firm)
  • Experience working in a publicly traded, high-tech, high-growth company preferred.
