A Senior Operations Manager is required to join a leading global healthcare business based in Clonmel.Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the effective management of the Operations function at the site.
The Role Manage an organization of >25 operations management professionals and >600 production operators Act as a key contributor to the site and divisional sales and operations planning (S&OP) process and ensure a robust capacity model is in place to align supply and demand requirements.
Promote, support and drive Continuous Improvement in all aspects of the Business through a structured format such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Recruit, coach and foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organisational objectives.
Develop and calculates a budget for the department to meet organisational goals; forecasts future departmental needs including human and material resources and capital expenditures; recommends or modifies the structure of organisational units or a centralised functional activity subject to senior management approval.
The Person Minimum 3rd Level Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent. is preferred. Minimum 9 years of experience in a similar field. Experience of Operational Excellence (Shingo, etc.) advantageous. Previous experience managing large manufacturing department in high volume medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive, or equivalent industries.
