Graduate Formulation Scientist - International Organisation - Dublin - €competitive (dependent on experience) We have a fabulous opportunity for a Physical Chemistry / General Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science Graduate, preferably with a Masters or PhD, to join a fast-growing, international company based in Dublin. Due to ongoing global growth, our client is looking for a graduate to join the formulation team, who operate from a dedicated lab which facilitates the development and characterisation of all relevant product types, as a Graduate Formulation Scientist. You, in a nutshell: Suitable candidates will need to have an excellent academic record in a relevant scientific subject, a degree is essential with a masters or PhD being preferable. You may already have experience as a formulation scientist, which would be a distinct advantage. Opportunity: This is a fast-paced and busy role for someone who is looking for the perfect opportunity to utilise their academics in a growing, cutting-edge environment. Responsibilities as the Graduate Formulation Scientist will include: * Product formulation: Wet formulation of various liquid formulations types including solutions, suspensions and emulsions. Dry formulation of various formulations such as powders and granules formed by extrusion or spray granulation. * Formulation characterisation including rheological testing, particle size analysis (laser diffraction, microscopy), HOLC, GC and other standardised physical tests. * Coordinating work with the wider expertise across company departments including analytical, technical operations, physical characterisation and supply chain teams * Reporting including written reports, oral presentations and troubleshooting discussions * Technical document preparation, lab-scale process development and demonstration and monitoring of scale-up operations * Development of optimised formulation approaches - literature surveys, parameter variation testing, finished product physical testing and evaluation. What we’re looking for: * Strong academic record in a relevant scientific subject (Physical Chemistry / General Chemistry or related discipline such as Pharmaceutical Science) - degree is essential, Masters or PhD is preferable * Practical laboratory experience - a solid foundation in practical laboratory operations * Background knowledge of colloid and surfactant science * Impeccable attention to detail * Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise * IT literate with proficiency in MS Office * Excellent communication skills * Proactive and flexible team player Interested?
