TCP Homecare are a leading provider of Homecare Nursing Services on a national scale. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacy technician to join the team at TCP. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years post qualification experience in a Hospital, Industry or Community position, ideally with some experience in a client facing role. We are looking for innovative, enthusiastic professionals displaying flexibility and ability to adapt to change to join our pharmacy team. This role provides the opportunity to gain experience in a quality environment, alongside unique pharmacy experience in orphan drugs, immunology, haemophilia, TPN and IV antibiotics. The role currently requires a Monday to Friday working pattern with no late nights, weekends or bank holidays. You will be part of a professional, quality focused team, who continually strive to provide the highest clinical care to patients. Key Qualifications & Competencies:· Qualified and Experienced Pharmacy Technician· Hard working and enthusiastic· Flexible and willing to learn, working side by side with pharmacist team· Strong communication skills, experience dealing with business clients an advantage· The ability to work in a fast passed environment in a self-directive manner, while also being receptive to instruction· Previous experience in the implementation of new projects is desirable· Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, works well to deadlines for patients· Attention to detail and a strict quality focus· A good team player, with reliability and flexibility key requirements· Good administration skills and computer skills, to include excel, word, and outlook· Good communication and clinical skills with both patients and professional staff, excellent written and verbal English required· Relevant hospital or community pharmacy or industry experienceJob Scope:The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for controlling, dispensing and distribution of pharmaceutical product and ancillary stock ensuring the customer/client service level agreements are managed effectively. Key Responsibilities:· Adherence to the guidelines, laws, code of conduct and policies of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland. · Responsible for dispensing of pharmaceutical product and ancillary stock to patients.· Ensure dispatch traceability of all products (batch number certification).· Liaison with hospital units for repeat prescriptions, maintain the prescription management system. Enter prescriptions accurately onto system. · Liaise as necessary on funding requests and approvals· Stock management, ordering and storage. Checking & receiving goods inwards.· Source and procure specific ancillaries including pump management and calibration. Manage supply to patients. · Liaise with dedicated nursing team to determine patient status· Liaise with patients to schedule deliveries and patient home visits from the nursing team working with warehouse driver and nursing team· Report management for client, attendance at client meetings, responsible for meeting client KPIs on service· Manage customer complaints and investigate incidents related to the service. Contribute to error management, near miss reporting, and associated corrective and preventative actions. · Work within the TCP Quality Management System. · Update and review pharmacy SOPs and workflows/work instructions. · Liaise and effectively communicate with all relevant personnel associated with the customer/client service.· Report all adverse events and product complaints promptly in line with Pharmacovigilance procedures and current legislation.· Manage patient related calls via a dedicated phoneline, support patients in the home. · Maintain customer confidentiality at all times.· Assist in the development of customer IT systems and services.· Represent self in a professional and ethical manner at all times, complying with all applicable company policy and procedures.· Be responsible for fostering a progressive working environment within the pharmacy department and for professional and courteous communications to others. · Form part of an engaged team with a “can do” attitude
