About the Role

Concern Worldwide has just completed work on a newstrategic plan to take the organisation forward over the next five years. Thisstrategy contains an ambitious plan for the development of its programmes andservices that will require a significant increase in funding in a mannerconsistent with the vision, mission, and values of the organisation.

The Director of Public Fundraising andPrivate Sector Engagement is a key leadership position within theorganisation, ensuring the funding it needs is secured by engagingconsistently, coherently and clearly with the public through its public,corporate and major donor fundraising functions.

This position is part of the Senior ManagementTeam, reporting to the CEO, and the Director will be expected to support anddeliver on the wider strategic goals of the organisation, sustaining excellentrelationships across different departments in Dublin, the UK, the US and SouthKorea.

To succeed in this role, the post holder must have extensiveprevious experience managing significant fundraising/revenue generatingprogrammes, experience developing an online fundraising presence and extensiveexperience in the development of large-scale individual giving, regular giving,corporate and major donor fundraising programmes. He/she will be self-driven,passionate about their work and comfortable working under pressure and todeadlines. This role requires exceptional communication skills and a strongunderstanding of the Irish Not-for-Profit sector.
