DPS are currently looking to recruit for a number of engineers for an exciting new project within the semi-conductor industry based in Dublin.This challenging position involves working as part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data centre facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. Projects for our clients include feasibility studies, long-range planning studies, and full design services including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and services during construction for design/bid/build and design/build projects.Key responisbilities * Be the Subject-Matter-Expert (SME), leading and controlling the design for Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems; * Execute site master planning, concept designs and preliminary engineering phases with other team members. * Prepares engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyse operation of existing systems. * Be able progress the sequence of operation (SSO) development with Intel systems owners. * Identify and research future Semiconductor industry trends. Keep on top of technology and industry developments; * Assist in the development of group’s systems, procedures, standards and knowledge management; * Support Business Development through client engagement at senior levels; * Develop, organise and control programmes to eliminate existing or potential process/engineering problems and innovate and deliver plant improvements for our clients; * Independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and coordinate with multi-discipline designers. * Perform I&C design work across several engineering disciplines in 2D/3D integrated design systems. * Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations. * Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects. * Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.Skills & experience required: * 8+ Years’ experience with Third level degree in a relevant I&C Engineering discipline. * Semiconductor experience preferable, large scale industrial, skill sets: Valve selection/sizing, AB (Rockwell) Automation platforms, chemical delivery systems. * General knowledge of electrical system design and applicable codes. * Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel). * Strong relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector. * Engineering/ design experience in the I&C systems * Excellent English level - written and spoken, * Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels. * Experience with MCC and VFD control requirements. * Familiar with wiring regulations
