At EY, we are expanding our Consulting practice and specifically building our Technology Consulting (TC) team. Due to this expansion we are seeking to recruit high achieving Senior Enterprise Architects to be part of our growing business and to support us in our NextWave Strategy.



**The opportunity**



By joining the Technology Consulting team as a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will be helping companies solve a whole range of tasks to respond to the ever-changing demands of the market. You will be responsible for working with our clients to help develop their ICT Strategies, Enterprise Architecture environment and best in class Solution Architectures as part of major and complex client IT programs of work. You will use your breadth of IT knowledge to help our clients navigate their journey to the cloud and develop solutions to meet business requirements in areas such as application, data, mobile, infrastructure, business and security architecture and user interface. **Your key responsibilities**



• Help develop ICT Strategies using experience in all Enterprise Architecture domains including data, application, infrastructure, integration, security and business architecture;

• Develop strategic technology roadmaps that include software, hardware and infrastructure elements;



• Define target architectures aligned with theimplementation of corporate ERP or CRM systems such as payroll, finance or HR;



• Develop plans and strategies for replacing legacy technology systems, including cloud migration solutions and roadmaps;



• Establishing the organisational, process and technological context (and architecture) that supports the adoption of digital and emerging technologies;

• Identifying and helping alignment to suitable technology and industry standards;

• Demonstrate understanding of end-to-end systems and solutions, including the ability to understand and define software and hardware capacity requirements based on system or user requirements;

• Ability to conceptualise and translate business requirements into end-to-end technical solutions;

• Identify technical gaps, opportunities, or inefficiencies in any area of architecture, and the overall application development lifecycle and develop plans to close such gaps;

• Ability to create vision of the overall solution;

• Ability to review architecture designs, to identify issues and risks, escalating them as needed;

• Understand business needs to define system specifications and work collaboratively with business analysis teams;

• Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired solution;

• Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility;

• Plan and design the structure of a technology solution;

• Communicate system requirements to solution delivery, development and testing teams;

• Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods;

• Assist with solving technical problems when they arise;

• Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure;

• Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions;

• Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals;



**Skills and attributes for success**



• 10+ years practical experience

• Proven architecture, design, and implementation experience with large scale programmes;



• Experience communicating with executives and presenting materials to non-ICT stakeholders

• Experience in developing IT Strategiesthat includes elements on aligning to the business strategy, Enterprise Architecture and IT departmental Operating Model



•Experience in the development of strategic ICT roadmaps including the introduction of new systems & technologies and the decommissioning and migration of legacy systems



• Ability to conceptualize and translate business requirements into end-to-end technical solutions;

• Familiarity with multiple technologies such as those from Microsoft, SAP, Oracle & AWS;



•A rack record of ownership of the Architecture and Design activities and outputs of projects

• Experience at providing technical leadership to project resources to meet project deadlines and ensure project objectives are met;



**To qualify for the role you must have**



• Ability to review architecture designs, to identify issues and risks, escalating them as needed;



• Ability to think strategically and develop long term plans, roadmaps and ICT Strategies



• Experience of developing detailed knowledge of all aspects of the application development cycle;



• Innovative thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills;



• Ability to learn new technology and ability to learn quickly;



**Ideally, you’ll also have**



+ A broad understanding and knowledge of industry technology trends

+ Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

+ Have a wide breadth of IT skills with familiarity in software development lifecycle (SDLC), Storage & networks, cloud and SaaS, IT security, DevOps and system integration methods

+ Accreditation and practitioner experience of TOGAF and/or IASA

+ Ability to understand and define software, hardware and infrastructure capacity requirements based on system or user requirements;

+ Confidence working with client executives and senior management

+ Worked in one or more of the following sectors: Utilities, Banking, Consumer Goods, Tech and Media, Public Sector, Health, Transport

+ Experience in the following: IT Strategy Development, Enterprise Architecture, Integration Architecture, Data Architecture, Security Architecture, Business Architecture and Development Architecture

+ Have experience in architecture and implementation of corporate ERP or CRM systems such as payroll, finance or HR
