Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Manager - Dublin - Permanent or ContractA leading engineering provider are looking for an E&I manager to join their team either on a contract or permanent basis.The Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Department Manager, is responsible for managing and leading the electrical and instrumentation design and construction support activities, of the E&I department within projects.Reporting to the Engineering Manager the core responsibility will be for the management of the team and technical output produced by the E&I Department, in the design of electrical and instrumentation designs for construction.Other key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ensures that designs produced are technically correct, produced in a timely manner andcoordinated with other disciplinesEnsures designs are independently reviewed prior to construction issue and that all solutions are fully compliant with quality standards and client requirementsManages the department while participating in the design activitiesAssesses E&I resources required for the projected department workload on an ongoing basisManaging department numbers to meet ongoing needs, increasing and reducing numbers where requiredOversee relevant regulatory compliance on projects ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are metMonitoring and evaluating team members performance and conducting reviews. Assessing and implementing training requirements where applicableAssist in the development and management of relevant technical standards and codes within ProjectsPrepare/Sign off deliverables and hours requests from project managers and others to allow for the preparation of proposalsWork with the Engineering Manager and other department managers to progressively improve the efficiency of the company in providing designs that meet the Client's needs.Embed a culture of continuous improvement within the team.Support other departments and ongoing construction and validation workApplicants will need to be degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation/Electrical) or qualified by experience. Candidates will need thorough design knowledge, as well as experience working on complex projects.
