Health and Safety Manager - MonaghanDue to continued growth our client is looking to add a Health & Safety Manager to their team. The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for setting and driving the safety culture within their team. You will put robust safety systems in place and be responsible for keeping these under review and improving on them.As a health and safety Manager your main aim is to prevent accidents, injuries and work-related illnesses in the workplace and promote a culture where safety is at the top of the agenda.You shall motivate and monitor engineers to ensure they engage in safe working practices and ensure a focus on health and safety, an excellent customer experience and quality workmanship.Key Responsibilities: * Develop a full suite of health and safety policies and procedures to support the safety culture within the company. * Put risk assessments and method statements in place for all roles and activities. * Be available to investigate accidents and incidents as quickly as possible after they occur. * Put relevant and appropriate preventative and corrective actions in place following risk assessment findings, accident and incident investigations. * Develop health and safety training programmes for installers and office staff. * Carry out fire risk assessments and organise emergency evacuation training. * Participate in offices, warehouse and yard auditing. * Vehicle check auditing. * Tools & Equipment and PPE auditing. * Reporting of findings/conclusions to line manager. * Carry out remedial actions on findings identified in audits. * Accident and incident investigation. * Be a point of contact for line managers in relation to H&S policies and procedures and relevant H&S legislation, particularly around lone working. * You may be asked to conduct appraisals; toolbox talks, disciplinary and return to work interviews where necessary. * Designing and delivering Health & Safety induction programs for new employees or contractors working on site. * Ability to train / coach frontline team members following issues identified during audits.Personal Specification * Relevant qualification in Health & Safety e.g. IOSH / NEBOSH. * Safe Pass / ECS card and Testing & Inspection are desirable. * Knowledge of Electricity Industry, ideally Utilities Sector is desirable. * Ensures deadlines and targets are met, understanding the impact of timescales to both the Client and business. * Experience in producing RAMS & ToolBox talks.Apply now or contact me (Richard) for more information (phone number removed)
