**Department Overview**



Citibank provides Middle Office services to a number of international clients utilizing its global presence and innovative technology platform. The Middle office department provides a comprehensive service designed to assist our clients’ fund managers in managing the fund’s investments. The key pillars of this service include trade lifecycle management, customized reporting, data provision and a real time day to day operational support network.



**Team/Position Overview**



The OTC Middle Office department forms part of the wider Security Services Operations group and provides a range of post-trade services to clients who invest in OTC derivatives securities. These services include trade affirmation / confirmation, cash-flow settlement, independent valuations, lifecycle management, reconciliations, data feeds and regulatory reporting.



The OTC Middle Office department is comprised of two distinct teams – (1) the operational team who manage all day-to-day processes, client servicing, internal queries, oversight and operational risk (2) a dedicated “non-BAU” team who focus on client implementations, strategic product developments, client requested change, market / regulatory driven change and process optimisation. Citi are looking to fill a managerial role within the department who will lead the team responsible for all OTC implementation, change and product development work.



**Key Responsibilities**



The core responsibility is to manage a large and expanding team of business analysts tasked with delivering on a sizeable book of work across a number of areas –



+ A global pipeline of new client implementations, which need to be on-boarded to our OTC derivatives operating model.

+ A large book of existing business, which needs to be migrated to Citi’s strategic technology stack.

+ An expanding change book of work owing to market initiatives such as LIBOR Reform as well as internal programs aimed at enhancing our product offering particularly in the data space.

+ Making our operations more efficient and scalable for new business.



The successful candidate will need to be able to juggle the demands of people management at a relatively senior level, manage a global book of work and have SME knowledge in the Derivatives space to face off with external and internal stakeholders across the wide range of initiatives.



**Experience and Skills**



The identified candidate must have:



+ Comprehensive knowledge of OTC Derivatives theory and application across all asset classes.

+ Strong interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication.

+ Minimum 7 years’ experience working with OTC derivatives in a middle office capacity.

+ Minimum 2 years’ experience working with OTC derivatives in an independent valuation capacity (or variant thereof such as collateral management).

+ Minimum 5 years’ managerial experience either in the form of being a direct line manager, team leader or project / program manager.

+ Previous experience working as a business analyst.

+ Third-level qualification (Bachelor’s degree minimum, Masters preferred) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, or Economics.



The identified candidate will have a distinct advantage should they have experience / knowledge in the following areas:



+ Working knowledge of Calypso Technology or a similar industry application (e.g. Murex)

+ Working knowledge of industry applications including Bloomberg, Markit Trade Manager, Markitwire, IHS Markit Portfolio Valuations and TriResolve.

+ Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS applications (Excel, VBA, Word, PPT) a must. Experience of other computer programming languages advantageous. Must be comfortable working in a logical manner.

+ Experience in client delivery and operations.
