Facebook is seeking a highly motivated, energetic team player to serve as Associate General Counsel, Content & EMEA Disputes for the EMEA region. The position will provide a multitude of legal support for content issues across Facebook's family of apps and services. You will manage regulatory matters and advise internal teams on legal risks. The role requires good judgment, a strong work ethic, and a keen interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. **Required Skills:**

1. Supervise and direct outside counsel on multiple legal matters

2. Counsel the teams responsible for building, managing and enforcing Facebook's content policies

3. Support and help efficiently resolve escalations involving content, including legal takedown requests and policy and press inquiries, among others

4. Work with cross-functional teams on public policy, communications, global operations, legal operations, product, privacy, IP, and ethics/compliance

5. Work with policy, and international legal colleagues to support litigation and regulatory matters, and to track evolving legal requirements across EMEA and industry verticals

6. Provide legal advice across many subject areas, including global legal frameworks, intermediary liability, data protection laws, and emerging content regulation trends

7. Develop creative and pragmatic approaches to managing legal risks associated content policy development, application and enforcement

**Minimum Qualifications:**

8. Qualified to practice law in at least one European jurisdiction

9. 8+ years litigation and/or regulatory experience, including experience dealing with legal / contentious matters, ideally across multiple jurisdictions

10. Deep understanding and experience of EU intermediary liability frameworks, including the E-Commerce Directive 2000/31/EC

11. Experience assessing and advising upon a diverse set of legal standards governing content and intermediary liability issues, across a range of topics

12. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under tight deadlines

13. Experienced in mentoring junior staff members
