We have an immediate requirement for Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (Contract role) to manage the installation, configuration and maintenance of the IT Infrastructure which supports the Automation and Information Systems of our global biotech client based in Dundalk.This individual will work as part of the Automation and IS projects team, support the implementation of IT applications, services and systems and will be responsible for developing the Ops and Audit Readiness Program (Global SOPs, Policies and Procedures)The ideal candidate will have strong SAN, LAN, WAN, VMware, Citrix, AD, Domain Controls, IAM and Security experience.Responsibilities: * Lead Infrastructure team in day to day activities assigning and tracking tasks to completion. * Planning and liaising with Project Managers, Installation and Project Engineers * Support installation, configuration and validation of Automation Infrastructure supporting tools for example: SEPM, NTP, SMTP, File Sync, RDS Licensing, SIEM, Thin Manager, etc * Collaborating with vendors on integration of systems with site infrastructure. * Install, configure and validate Manufacturing domain to support PI, VPE Systems, SQL AOAG, Simatic Logon, PM Analyse, Version Dog and Thin Manager applications. * Draft, review and approval of Change Request, SOPs, Work Instructions and Design specifications. * Review and approval of vendor documentation including Design Spec, FAT / SAT and HSAT test specs * Plan and install hotfixes, windows and other system updates * Continuous improvement and optimisation of systems after installation and commissioning * Day to day administration and monitoring of Systems. * Support Global teams with Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting of site GMP HCI VxRail running VMWARE 6.7. * Support Global teams with Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting of Manufacturing Network Infrastructure. * Liaise with Global Automation group and support the rollout of Alert & Performance Monitoring / Backup & Recovery / Version Control and Syslog for network infrastructure. * Liaise with Global Automation group and support the rollout of Alert & Performance Monitoring / Backup & Recovery for Automation applications and infrastructure. * Support network integration of Automation Systems. * Develop and implement the sustaining operations and audit readiness program for the IT Infrastructure including monitoring, Back-up and off-site storage of data. Development of full lifecycle of SOPs, Policies, SLAs and interface with regulatory auditors as required.Qualifications & Requirements: * Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or the Life Sciences. * At least 4 years’ experience installing and configuring Server / Network infrastructure solutions in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is required. * In depth experience with regard to the physical installation of Server and Network Infrastructure * Experience with Dell Multi-host blade systems * Strong knowledge of virtualisation (VMWare and hyper – V) in an operational environment. * Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 * Strong network architecture or engineering proficiencies including TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, Network IDS/IPS, Active Directory, Domain Integration and Firewalls * Understanding of documentation, such as Hardware Design, Network Design, FAT and SAT documentation * Experience with Thin Client Software solutions * Knowledge of cGMP particularly as it applies to biologics manufacturing and automated systems * Strong technical and organizational communication, coordination, and meeting facilitation skills. * Ability to apply analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex problems using multiple sources of information. * Independent, self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in project environments and skilled in communication and collaboration
