    UCD Registry comprises five units: Admissions, Assessment, Customer and Curriculum Operations, Fees & Data Management, Student Recruitment; and the Office of the Director of Registry. UCD Registry is evolving structurally in line with the University's overall strategic developments and is a dynamic, flexible, and responsive unit.

    Assessment

    The Assessment team works in collaboration with academic and administrative colleagues across the University to support assessment and grading requirements and processes. The unit is responsible for examination logistics management, grade processing, academic history record management, providing assessment-related advice and support to staff and students, the administration of research theses and Extern Examiners. The unit also provides secretariat support to the Academic Council Committee on Examinations (ACCE), which has oversight of assessment practices across the University.

    The Role

    The role of Examinations Logistics Officer is a challenging and exciting position within the Assessment unit.

    The central objective of the Examinations Logistics Officer is to provide high-level administrative and managerial support to:

    • Support the logistical operations and management of the university's examinations, ensuring examinations are conducted efficiently and effectively with the aim of achieving a well-ordered and calm exam environment, which optimises the student's experience and ensures academic integrity is upheld.
    • Deliver high quality, customer-focused services to university colleagues and students as per the unit's remit.

    The postholder will support and deputise for their line manager within the team in planning, managing and implementing an approach to providing first-class services.

    All associated tasks are deadline driven, time sensitive and core to the University business processes.

    Therefore, good interpersonal skills are significant, along with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines, as well as being able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in work completion. The ability to build and maintain good working relationships is an essential part of this role. The post holder must have strong communication, administration, and organisational skills.

    95 Administrative Officer Ii_ _X) Salary Scale: €49,131 – €66,532 per annum

    Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
