    Specific Purpose
    Description

    The Finance Transformation Senior Accounts Payable Analyst will provide a comprehensive support service to Finance Operations and our Finance Transformation Project - primarily supporting with the design, development and deployment of our new Purchase to Pay System, which is critical to the Finance Directorate's objective of standardization, automation and optimization.

    Minimum Education & Skills Required

  • Qualification in Finance / Accounting (NFQ 6 equivalent) or an equivalent qualification is a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3years relevant experience
  • Understanding and experience of the Not-for-Profit sector (desirable).
  • Proven experience in using a relevant financial software package - SUN, Infor Q&A Vision, Sage, and MS applications would be an advantage.
  • Excellent relationship management skills and ability to deliver tangible results within agreed, tight deadlines.
  • Initiative and judgement will be needed to resolve problems as they arise.

    • Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Project Team in the planning, execution and testing of the Purchase to Pay System, to ensure accuracy of data in the new system.
  • Review existing Accounts Payable processes and support the objective of standardisations, automation and optimisation to improve efficiency, enhance transparency and ensure cost control and supplier management.
  • Identify cross-functional stakeholder requirements, through workshops and meetings, and prepare actionable points.
  • Operate the Accounting systems (SUN and Infor Q&A Vision) including importing of journals and generation of monthly reports to ensure timely monthly management accounts.
