    Description

    You will provide technical support to the production units to guarantee a safe and efficient manufacturing environment is maintained. You will manage the continuous improvement of safety and quality and reduction of product variation. Work to deliver continuous improvements, increased efficiency in all manufacturing processes and services on site. You will report to the Operations Manager.

    This role would suit a process professional who would like to see their ideas implemented quickly and enjoys reaching solutions autonomously, in a fast paced and agile environment

    Key Responsibilities.


    • Build knowledge and capabilities to assess recommendations on process optimization of manufacturing steps to enhance product performance. Support management of change process to implement same.


    • Provide process support for batch issues, process changes, quality deviations, customer complaints, process upsets.


    • Investigate product performance issues and perform root-cause analysis and laboratory investigations.


    • Produce detailed investigation reports and provide solutions to existing problems through competent troubleshooting.


    • Introduce new or modified processes and products, supporting production activities where required.


    • Build good working relationships with others.


    • Participate in programmes such as Continuous Improvement, Total Productive and Maintenance (TPM), 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, Total Quality, Teams.

    Qualifications


    • A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent is required.


    • 5+ years of experience in chemical batch manufacture is required with Chemical or Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience. Experience working in both lab scale and large-scale production.


    • New Product/Process Introduction (NPI) experience.


    • Experience developing processes in a manufacturing environment.


    • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements (environmental, health and safety, and quality).
