    Assistant Development Manager and Registered BER Assessor

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Torca Homes. This is a mid-senior level, full-time position responsible for managing construction projects from start to finish.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will advise on contractual matters, manage subcontract packages, and oversee payments to suppliers and consultants.
    • You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce costs, undertaking internal valuations, and producing cost reports.
    • Your role will involve negotiating and agreeing subcontractors, as well as reporting on budgets and variations.

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 5-10 years post-graduate experience with a main contractor or developer.
    • A qualification in quantity surveying or a similar area.
    • Experience working on large construction projects with a main contractor or developer.
    • Commercial or residential construction experience, or a similar background.
    • The ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to present findings effectively.
