- Provide continuity of care to improve quality of life for patients.
- Facilitate relevant patient care by liaising with the multidisciplinary team and guiding best practice.
- Provide support and education for patients and their families.
- Co-ordinate and manage the care given to both inpatients and outpatients.
- Provide continuing nursing education by participating in teaching, guidance and assessment of staff.
- Be registered on the general division of the register of nurses maintained by NMBI and hold a current NMBI PIN (essential)
- Have 3 or more years of post registration experience in an acute setting (essential)
- Have a recognised qualification or a minimum of 1 years experience within the speciality (essential)
- Have a minimum of 1 year management experience (desirable)
- Have completed a management training programme (desirable)
