    Description

    Grid Package Manager required for a major offshore wind farm developer based in Ireland Responsibilities Managing the grid connection application process and ensuring that the project is awarded the most efficiently sized and delivered grid connection.

    Managing the relationship with EirGrid.

    Ensuring that the project can always access the right people within EirGrid for effective project delivery, but also in terms of immediate problem-solving issues.

    Ensuring that appropriate routes to escalation are available and effective.
    Working closely with other parts of the project team in relation to grid connection interfaces e.g. Engineering, Electrical Systems Contractor, Land, Consenting and others.
    Managing the negotiations and development of the offshore grid connection contracts with
    EirGrid, CRU, ITA and wider industry representatives on behalf, and in the interest of the project.
    Lead commercial review of grid contracts and manage a team of experts on key areas (legal and technical).
    Managing the negotiations on the Grid Asset Sale Agreement on behalf of the project.
    Management of and liaison with multiple parts of the project team, industry and Government.

    Managing and reporting internally on the development of a grid transaction administration structure, including hiring of a grid transaction manager, understanding the CRU policy on the grid transaction (or the grid asset sale and purchase process), managing internal interfaces within the project on same.

    This will necessarily include ability to negotiate with the CRU and the ITA in terms of baseline costs and ongoing reading of policy in terms of asset transfer value and ongoing offshore TUOS costs.

    Requirements Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.

    A minimum of 5 years of experience leading grid management functions on analogous projects (knowledge and understanding of wind projects an advantage).

    Knowledge of recent Irish Offshore Grid policy, and further how this policy will or may need to develop in the future, for the benefit of the project.

    An understanding of electrical engineering and offshore wind farms, including the Irish Grid Code.

    A thorough knowledge and understanding of grid inputs into the financial model, including constraints, curtailment, TUOS, UAEC, and some knowledge of the Irish SEM Market.

    Demonstrated negotiation experience on a range of key agreements.
    Ability to manage, coordinate and control external consultants engaged for topics related to the projects grid connection.
    An understanding of the financial close process and due diligence (around grid issues) pertaining to it.
    Knowledge of project management processes and experience of driving compliance, ensuring adoption and improvement of defined standards.
    Strong command of English, both verbally and written.
    Some international travel is required
