Software Engineer (Java)

Westmeath/Roscommon/Offaly - 1 day per week on site This is a Permanent opportunity for a project starting in late February.

My client, a market-leader in the Consulting space, is looking for a seasoned Software Engineer with expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot and REST API's.

You will be responsible for the development of innovative software applications while supporting globally recognised clients in the Financial Services and/or Telco space on some of their most impactful projects to maximise the power of their products.

Software Engineer (Java) - Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop applications through the full SDLC in different client settings.
Create functional design documentation.
Maintain high-quality code and unit testing standards.
Take part in Code Reviews and peer programming.
Test, Debug, and troubleshoot applications as necessary.
Software Engineer (Java) -
Required Experience: 2-5 years' experience of hands-on development of Java-based applications.
Strong experience on Spring Frameworks.
Demonstrable experience building Rest API's.
Experience with application containers e.g. Docker, Kubernetes.
Knowledge and experience of working with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Maven.
