- Generation of equipment designs. Designs include new tooling, fixtures, automated machines and modification/upgrades to same.
- Investigation of new technologies, generation of concepts and participation in Proof-of-Concept projects to enable automation.
- Will design new equipment for manufacturing, from concept to deployment.
- Ensure documentation & drawing standards for equipment meet requirements.
- Maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
- Ensure equipment solution are delivered within planned schedules and within budget.
- work closely with both internal and external specialists to complete equipment related projects
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design or equivalent
- 5 years' experience in Mechanical Design.
- Experience in using AutoCAD 2D SolidWorks 3D.
- Candidates must have a demonstrated track record in the design of equipment. Experience of AutoCAD/Solidworks, Pneumatics, Workshop Equipment, and Machine Building will be essential.

My client, a leading Medical Device company, is searching for an Equipment Engineer.
This role will suit someone with Medical/Biopharma/Pharma experience in designing and manufacturing of production equipment in the medical device industry.
This is a 12-month contract position, based on site at their site in Galway City.
