    Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application. Dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world class systems running. Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge.

    Minimum 18 months commercial development / technical / application support experience.

    Investigating and providing solutions to application incidents raised in Service Desk for various in-scope applications Supporting issue resolution through investigation, documenting analysis and working with various development and support teams Liaising with and supporting Business Helpdesks / Business Users Responding to Requests from users / business areas for statistics, functional support Implementation of workarounds and data clean-ups using SQL or appropriate scripting language Raising SIRs / Problems where appropriate

    Qualification and Background


    • Role Location – Dublin (Hybrid - 2 days/week at client site)


    • BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT qualification and/or relevant industry experience


    • Good understanding of SDLC and 18-24 months experience in Application Support roles in Agile Development environment.


    • Experience in analysis of application production issues, root cause analysis and implementing solutions / fixes to resolve issues.


    • Good understanding of tools and technologies used in Java Development environment.


    • Proficient with Java, Spring (Spring Web MVC, Spring REST) and front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript.


    • Proficient with SQL, XML and JSON
    • Proficient with Unix and SQL to create scripts for fixing live data issues.


    • Experience with Relational Databases


    • Experience with GIT and JIRA


    • Experience working in standards driven environments.


    • Strong creative problem solving and analytical skills.


    • Team player


    • Strong oral and written communications skills


    • Strong client service skills Desirable


    • Experience of Cobol


    • Experience of Hibernate
