    About the Opportunity

    We are looking for a Building Services/Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer to join our Irish team based in Sandyford, Dublin who is excited about working on advanced facilities projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. Join us and you will have the chance to work on projects at some of the world's most state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You will be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You will also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinating work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team willsuccessfully deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products for building HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems.

    Key responsibilities include:

  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of advanced engineering techniques, procedures, analyses, and criteria for problems and methods.
  • Performs a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of equipment, systems, or processes.
  • Establishes design criteria in accordance with industry standards.
  • Writes scopes of work, estimates time and effort required to perform work, predicts staffing needs, completes staffing matrices, plans the execution of the project from kickoff through construction, completes equipment matrices, drawing list(s), etc.
  • Prepares specifications and provides input to define necessary subcontracts and requisitions.
  • Here's What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Services/Mechanical (HVAC) Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of practical application of mechanical engineering design in building systems, such as HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and their construction.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels. (CEFR level B2 English)
  • Working knowledge of local Irish regulations and standards.
  • Progressive experience in general engineering.
  • Former experience as design engineer in all areas of discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams from preliminary design through site construction.
  • Experience working with a BIM environment, and knowledge of Navisworks software.
  • Passion for buildings and construction.
  • Minimum of 2 years of cleanroom experience (semiconductor preferred).
  • Ideally, you will also have:

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • History of excellent client and contractor interaction and support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel).
