    About the Role

    We have a brilliant opportunity for someone to come and shape the future of Health and Safety at our world famous St. James Gate Brewery as our Health and Safety Manager.

    In this role you will d evelop a culture of Health & Safety within the site, and promote continuous improvement within all teams. You will work with the site Leadership Team to identify environmental health and safety objectives for site operations and determine the budget required to support this.

    You will also work with Diageo global safety team to develop and implement Health & Safety standards locally and manage all interactions with local and national government bodies to ensure legal EHS compliance and oversee communications with EHS Regulatory Authorities.

    About You

    To be successful in this role you will have significant operational Health & Safety leadership experience and a track record in a world class FMCG production/manufacturing environment. You will be a great coach with outstanding leadership experience, where you have honed your ability to build a high-performance climate by effectively setting performance standards and coaching and developing others to achieve them. And you will achieve this through first class communication skills and stakeholder engagement.

    We would love you to have a recognised practitioner qualification in Occupational Safety & Health. And a Corporate Membership of the Institute Occupational Safety & Health and/or Business Continuity Institute would also be advantageous, if not essential.
