    Overview of the Role

    Dunnes Stores is currently looking for a co-ordinator with textiles Sustainability team in which you will play a major part of our responsible sourcing. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make an impact of change within Dunnes Stores. We are looking for someone who will be part of a passionate team, delivering business change with the importance of sustainable initiatives. Your contribution will positively impact the business, our customers, suppliers and our colleagues to create lasting value to our business. This is an exciting role and the suitable candidate are driven by change. The three main pillars of sustainability People, Planet and product however Product and Planet will be the two main pillars you will be work on, fabrics, packaging and labelling.

    Primary responsibilities

  • Support buying teams with change on sustainable targets.
  • Reduce, Record & Report on sustainability performance and the target set.
  • Identifying new opportunities within the supply chain that can be change.
  • Working closely with all textile buying team and retail
  • Ensuring correct chain of custody is followed for certification and call outs.
  • Managing key suppliers with cost reduction and reduction off waste
  • Working with Dunnes to ensure we continue to drive change and delivering the opportunities along with the achievements.
  • Being an expert. Providing support and technical advice the buying teams. In particular support strategies and ensuring they are implemented
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders/suppliers. You must be able to build relationships, influence, manage and navigate the varied parts of the business.
  • Key Skills/Attributes & Experience

  • Knowledge of labelling/packaging and/or responsible sourcing is desired but not essential
  • Studied or experience working within a sustainability department/course.
  • Strong PowerPoint & Excel Skills
  • Ability to analyse and understand, research and to identify relevant and valuable information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Presentation skills required to deliver plans to varying groups of individuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and to be able to develop relationships across all functions of the business, and all levels, to find the right answers, or to get the help you need to deliver a project.
