    Description

    The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for picking, wrapping, shipping, and delivering store products in line with store, production, and customer requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Pick and complete sales orders, wrap deliveries, and complete warehouse paperwork for each dispatch.
    • Operate PPT and Forklift to complete orders efficiently.
    • Unload, record, and put away raw materials stocks and deliveries accurately.
    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the warehouse.
    • Foster effective communication and cooperation with fellow staff members.
    • Comply with company rules and standards of work.
    • Process all orders through our system for next day deliveries.
    • Assist with paint tinting processes as required.
    • Verify orders that have been invoiced to ensure correct products are invoiced vs customer orders.
    • Monitor live stock levels and conduct regular stock takes.
    • Support with general warehouse duties as needed by the Warehouse Manager.
    • Input dockets, goods in and out, into the system.
    • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards at all times, addressing safety concerns promptly.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures for securing company stock.
    • Guarantee timely supply of key materials to Paint Plant & Paint filling areas.
    • Manage receipt of deliveries and tankers.
    • Maintain yard and Raw Material storage areas.
    • Dispose of obsolete, defective, returned materials, including external waste contractors.
    • Maintain waste management systems, compactors, and skips.
    • Maintain outside storage facilities and implement 5S (Housekeeping) practices.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Proven experience with electric pallet trucks and forklift trucks.
    • High attention to detail and quality awareness.
    • Excellent product knowledge and understanding.
    • Experience in paint tinting processes.
    • Familiarity with the paint tinting process.
    • Knowledge and proficiency in using all equipment on site.
    • Flexibility with working hours and willingness to adapt.

    Person Specification:

    • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Effective communicator with good relationships-building abilities.
    • Ability to implement existing procedures positively.
    • Sense of ownership and responsibility.
    • Willingness to work collaboratively and assist or carry out other duties during periods of high workload, sickness, holidays, and emergencies.
    • Open to undertaking additional duties as requested by the Warehouse Manager.
