PhD Candidate at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS, formerly Athlone IT), Ireland, due to graduate in 2024. In addition to extensive lab experience gained during my PhD, I am highly skilled in materials processing, characterisation, and research and development. Recent research projects have focused on improving medical devices such as urinary stents and developing biodegradable blends for medical devices and packaging applications. Throughout my time as a PhD student, I have also undertaken roles as an assistant lecturer (230 students taught remotely in China), supervisor of a master’s degree student, exam invigilator (TUS semester exams) and collaborated with RUN-EU as a collegiate member, representing TUS at various conferences held across Europe (Portugal, Hungary and The Netherlands).
