I am a very enthusiastic and hardworking individual, who is self-motivated and capable of working in any environment. I am focused, reliable and honest and will always complete a job to the best of my ability. I quickly learn new tasks and work well within a team. I have excellent communication skills and am an outgoing person.

February 2022- Present:                              Production Operator             Astellas 

My current position in Astellas is working as part of a team on Uhlmann blister packaging lines, operating both the primary and secondary areas of production. There are a multitude of different tasks encompassed within this role. 

• Reviewing the processing order and ordering raw materials from the warehouse using SAP.
• Checking to ensure all materials are correct and then proceeding to start the process of beginning a batch, as per the SOP’s. 
• Loading the batch using SCADA and Werum software packages and setting up equipment.
• Performing machine checks, IPCs and operation of the blister packaging line, recording all relevant information on electronic batch records.
• Disassembling the line and completing cleaning in preparation for QA inspection.

I also have experience working in the ampoule packaging area of Astellas. This area uses paper batch records. I undertake visual inspection of ampoules as part of this role, which required passing an eye test and visual inspection test, before receiving the necessary certification to work in the area.    

Good manufacturing practices are a vital part of my roles in Astellas, ensuring high quality standards are maintained while achieving efficient outputs to meet targets. I work very well within a team, with communication one of my strongest assets. I am very confident using technology and computers including systems such as SAP, SCADA and Werum. I am trained in manual handling and use of automated guided vehicles. I am very flexible with working hours, having worked 3 cycle shift, 2 cycle shift and day shift while also making myself available for overtime regularly.

2024: Atlantic Technological University
Currently studying for an Aseptic Biopharmaceutical Operations certificate. Modules include Biocontamination Control, Cleanroom Operation and Sterilisation Technology.

2022: Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
Completed a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, focusing on a labelling machine in a blister packaging line, which was having application issues.
Quality Assurance and Good Manufacturing Practice & Overview of Tablet and Capsule Manufacturing and Packaging Processes        
Completed the above modules with Innoskills Academy, giving me a theoretical understanding to my practical experience working in Astellas.

2014- 2017: Institute of Technology Tralee
Bachelor of Business, Specialising in Agribusiness: modules included Information Systems, Marketing, Finance, Social Media, Management, Law and Work Placement. I gained an overall understanding of the business and agricultural environment both theoretically and practically.
