Ankita Guha

I am a Research scientist with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and experience of 8 years in early drug discovery ranging from target identification, pathway & network analysis, system modelling, target prioritization and validation. My doctoral research involved study of antioxidative, antidiabetic and anti-inflammatory properties of medicinal plants for the treatment of streptozotocin-induced diabetes in rodent (mice & rat) model. I have 6 publications from doctoral research work and project work on lichen during last semester of master in Biochemistry. I have provided supervision and shared my skills and knowledge to interns and junior research member to achieve laboratory goals and worked under GLP environment. Currently working under ALCOA+ environment and adhering to Good Research Practices and Good Documentation Practices. Looking forward to utilizing my skills and harness my potential to achieve personal and organizational goals while serving an appropriate role in your esteem organization

As a research scientist contributed towards delivering optimised monoclonal antibodies. My engagement with client-Biocon provided an exposure to global manufacturing network. Working as a support specialist to manufacturing processes operating in “Safety First, Quality Always mindset”. I have executed target assessment and target safety & toxicity projects with highest quality, first time-right principals, in compliance to SOPs & good documentation practice (GDP) in ALCOA+ environment to clients. Relevant skills which I bring to platter are teamwork and adaptability, knowledge transfer, performance as per KPIs, collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. PhD in Biochemistry: 

• Coursework:  CGPA: 9.0; Rank 1st.
• Research project: Antioxidant, hypoglycaemic and anti-inflammatory activity of medicinal plants in treatment of Diabetes Mellitus. Designed and optimised in vivo studies in STZ-induced diabetic rodent models and followed GRP & GLP guidelines. Performed ELISA, biochemical profiling, enzymatic assays, chromatographic (HPLC) and spectroscopic (UV-Vis) analysis. Documented protocols, methods and reports. Mentored trainees and performed lab supervision and administrative activities.
